Class Details:

• Dates: May 15th to July 30th
• Days: Monday to Wednesday
• Times: Choose from two time slots – 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
• Format: Offered individually or in groups
• Sessions: Each skill-enhancing course consists of 4 classes.

Basic Sewing Course - $400:Learn essential skills including:

• Threading a Sewing Machine: Understanding the mechanics and setup.
• Basic Stitches: Straight stitch, backstitch, and zigzag.
• Seam Techniques: Different types of seams for various finishes.
• Simple Garment Construction: Creating basic items like cushions or a simple skirt.
• Pattern Reading: How to read and understand commercial patterns.
• Cutting Techniques: Properly cutting fabric according to patterns.
• Fabric Selection: Choosing the right fabric for your projects.

Skill Enhancing Courses - $150 per course

• Zipper Techniques: Master the insertion of various types of zippers.
• Appliqué: Learn to decorate your garments with beautiful appliqué designs.
• Hemming: Achieve neat and durable hems in your sewing projects.
• Gathering: Add elegance with gathering techniques for different garment types.
• Corset Making: Construct and fit traditional and modern corsets.
• Hand Sewing: Perfect your stitches and techniques in hand sewing.
• Alterations: Learn to alter garments for a custom fit.
• Horse Hair Finishing: Use horsehair braid to create crisp, flowing hems.
